TBS-2C direct radiometer is used to measure the radiation perpendicular to the surface of the sun and the scattered radiation from the sky around the sun. It has the function of automatically tracking the sun and monitoring the direct solar radiation, and its power supply mode is DC 12V.

The sensing part of the direct radiation meter is the core part of the smooth tube, which is composed of a fast response wire wound electroplated thermopile. The sensing part is coated with matt black paint on the side facing the sun, and the hot contact of the thermopile is below. Bila the sun shines on the hot contact, the temperature rises, and it forms a temperature difference with the cold contact on the other side, thus generating an electromotive force, which is proportional to the direct radiation intensity of the sun.
